Building inspections are essential to ensure that your home is built to the highest standard achievable, while complying with the National Construction Code and relevant Australian Standards. Home Building Consultant Inspection Reports document defects and non-compliant building works, which will save you from costly repairs in the future.
We service the entire Melbourne Metro area and regional Victoria.
Standard payment details are with seven days. Building inspections are invoiced on the same day a booking is requested, and payment is required in full 24 hours prior to confirm. All of the services are subject to our standard Terms & Conditions.
All of our inspectors are Registered Building Practitioners with the Victorian Building Authority and are fully covered by insurance.
Every inspection is different based on the size and complexity of the dwelling. Typically and inspection takes between one to three hours, however we do not limit the time allocated to each inspection. We prioritise quality inspection reports over quantity.
You are most welcome to be present during an inspection, however we do ask that you allow the consultant the ability to carry out their inspection without interuption, leaving questions until the end. This allows the consultant to concentrate on the task at hand, ensuring defects don’t get overlooked.
Assuming you and your builder have entered into a Major Domestic Building Contract, they cannot deny you reasonable access to the property. This is confirmed in the Domestic Building Contracts Act 1995 in Part 2, Section 19.
